Semi-Virtual 2020 CEMETS will continue fully virtual
On the contrary to planned structure, part two of 2020 CEMETS will be in fully virtual format.
On August 19, the 2020 CEMETS Institute kicked off first time in a semi-virtual format this year. With the assumption of lower pandemic spread by the time, original plan was to meet in person with participants in February 1-5 in Zurich. However, due to current COVID-19 developments, 2020 CEMETS Institute will be fully virtual.
The advantage of having an institute in Switzerland is that participants and The CEMETS team can visit training companies and talk to Swiss practitioners and apprentices. True to the team's mantra that “seeing is believing,” the team will now do its best to offer participants these firsthand impressions and discussions with Swiss experts and apprentices virtually.
The content of the second part of the institute consists of two weeks of daily live events on Zoom platform. The live events will be lectures, keynotes, Q&A sessions, and panel discussions with apprentices. Those sessions will be also available digitally on Moodle.
